Muktinath Day Tour By Helicopter

1 DAY
Nepal
Moderate
Private / Aeroplane
One of the most popular helicopter tour packages in Nepal is the Muktinath Heli Tour. The tour offers us great peace and tranquillity with views of some of the highest mountains of the world, Annapurna I with 8091 meters and Mt. Dhaulagiri with 8167 meters. We will be able to explore the holy temple of Muktinath and a Tibetan monastery. The tour provides a great experience for the people who do not have enough time for trekking to the sacred place of Muktinath which sits at an altitude of 3710 meters in the Annapurna Region. Muktinath also called Mukti Kshetra and Chumig Gyatsa is a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhists as the temple brings all the elements: air, water, earth and fire, together. The temple is considered one of the eight most sacred sites for the followers of Lord Bishnu. According to the Hindus, the crimes of the people are overlooked if they take bath in the 108 water spouts which pours water from the temple tanks at a freezing temperature.
We start our tour with a helicopter flight around the sacred area of Muktinath located at the foothill of the Thorung La Pass. We will be able to see great views of the high mountains, the highest being the Dhaulagiri and then the Annapurna I. The chopper will land at the helipad of Ranipauwa and provides us an hour to stroll and explore the holy land of Mukti Kshetra. The temple is half an hour far from the helipad which is why we will have to ride horses and jeeps. As we get to the temple, we will worship the god or perform a pooja. Then we will have lunch and get back to Ranipauwa as quickly as possible as the strong winds may affect the flying time of the chopper. The Muktinath helicopter tour is suitable for all age groups and requires a minimum level of fitness. The tour is recommended to groups rather than an individual as the prices vary with group size.
